Salute to the Scotties Volunteers...
On behalf of the host committee, the Oakville Curling Club and the
Ontario Curling Association, I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to
all of the 75+ volunteers who made the
2009 Scotties Tournament of Hearts Ontario Women's Curling Championship
a success. Based on feedback received from the players, as well as spectators,
we met our objective of EXCELLENT PLAYER EXPERIENCE.
All facets of the volunteer organization were executed without a hitch .....
from the team drivers to player hospitality to curling operations to media
to our "real time" website updates to 50/50 & raffle draws to ticket sales
to facilities to parking and security.
It was truly a well-integrated team effort for which we can all be proud.
A special thanks goes to our own "Team Howard" (Jane & Susan),
who tirelessly produced our daily newsletter, "The Ticker".
It was an interesting and informative update that was enjoyed by all.
